Our practice has been in existence for over 20 years in the Oakland and Shadyside areas. We are a small, friendly office and are known for our warm and caring atmosphere.
Our office location is 5750 Centre Avenue, Center Commons Building- Suite 230, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. We are located near the Martin Luther King East Bus way and several bus routes that travel Centre and Negley Avenues including:
NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) works with large employers, policy makers, doctors, patients and health plans to decide what is important, how to measure it and how to promote improvement. Physician practices who have met stringent criteria measuring health plan performance are given three-year certification and also receive financial rewards depending on their level of program attainment. STERLING MEDICAL ACHIEVED THE DIABETES PHYSICIAN RECOGNITION PROGRAM Developed by NCQA and the American Diabetes Association, this program utilizes evidence-based measures to recognize physicians who provide excellent care to their diabetic patients.

MEET OUR DOCTORS Nita Rai-Gohel, M.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She earned a medical degree from the Kasturba Medical College in India. She completed her internal medicine residency and was chief resident at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Rai-Gohel is a member of the American Medical Association, the America College of Physicians and Pennsylvania Medical Society. Marcia Nisenbaum, M.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and completed her residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Nisebaum is a member of the American College of Physicians, Medical Society of Pennsylvania, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
