Friendship Medical Associates opened in August 2003. Dr Gary Lemoncelli has been practicing medicine in the Pittsburgh area for over 25 years. Dr Lemoncelli is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr Anthony Baroni who was Chief Resident at West Penn Hospital joined Friendship Medical Associates in August 2003. Dr Baroni is Board Certified in Internal Medicine/Osteopathic Medicine. At Friendship Medical our goal is to provide our patients with the highest quality of health care in a friendly, compassionate, and professional atmosphere. Our physicians care for the patients from prevention to diagnosis through their experience and expertise in many aspects of Internal Medicine. NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) works with large employers, policy makers, doctors, patients and health plans to decide what is important, how to measure it and how to promote improvement. Physician practices who have met stringent criteria measuring health plan performance are given three-year certification and also receive financial rewards depending on their level of program attainment.
